As Jess struggles to regain her footing, cracks begin to appear in other areas of her life and suddenly she feels she’s failing at everything.
When her landlord asks her to move on so he can sell the property without warning, Jess’ money worries take on a whole new meaning. These Streets is set in Newham, east London, and follows the story of Jess, a single mother with two teenage children.
These Streets will be published in hardback, trade paperback, e-book and audio in spring 2022.
Publishing director Manpreet Grewal acquired world English rights from Eve White at the Eve White Literary Agency to These Streets and one other novel. HQ has acquired two more novels from Luan Goldie, who was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2020 with her debut Nightingale Point (HQ).
